Construction Management

Scheduling

Scheduling

Our diverse staff is adept at creating realistic cycle times for the fabrication, production, logistics and installation of facade elements. We assess site conditions and work to be performed prior to the facade installation, and use that information to develop comprehensive schedules that overlay seamlessly with the construction process. We utilize advance scheduling software that is updated on a weekly basis with a three-week look ahead. The schedule updates are based on task completion counts, productivity levels achieved and strategic changes.

Sequencing and Logistics

We recognize that the sequencing of production and site work is a key issue to mitigating congestion and reducing damage to completed facade elements. We work with the client and construction team to develop viable sequencing plans for the production of materials and delivery to the site based on ‘just-in-time’ inventory control. Given our global reach, we are familiar with the array of options for packaging, freight and offloading.

Rigging And Staging

Rigging and Staging

As the complexity and massing of buildings evolves, so too does the rigging and staging of the facade design, engineering and construction process. Our team of experts has designed advanced rigging systems for the accelerated staging of materials on-site, robotics for installations that pose safety challenges, and platforms for staging of materials on high-rise structures. We are keenly aware that most sites have limited staging areas and develop strategies to consolidate staged materials.

Manpower Allocation

Our team of professionals generate manpower models based on the facade typologies, production techniques, site conditions and local trade practices. We are adept at assessing skill levels, crew sizes and realistic productivity output to create the required manpower levels that support project scheduling milestones.

Field Quality

Field Quality Control

Typically the most vulnerable stage of the facade process is execution in the field. Our project management teams are comprised of skilled managers and engineers that have implemented many methods of quality control to insure that the installed systems will perform over the life of the building. Each project requires specific field quality measures that reflect the complexity of the project and the field dynamics that relate to local conditions.
